Wilda C. Michael, 78, of Daybrook, received her eternal home in heaven on November 9, 2024, passing away peacefully at her home. Born on July 20, 1946 in Fairmont, West Virginia, to the late Harry and Esther Arnett Michael.

Wilda is survived by her daughter: Ashley Walters and her husband Aaron; she walked through this world with her siblings by her side, leaving behind her beloved brother Harry Michael with his wife Emma, and sisters Brenda Smith with Barry, Helen Oser with Alan, and Janet Michael. Ascending to Heaven before her were her siblings, Lawrence Michael, Ivy Michael, Karen Wilson, and Frances Hamilton. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

For forty years, Wilda served faithfully as a Youth Director at the Union Mission in Fairmont, where many children learned of Jesus' teachings through her guidance. As a devoted member of the Daybrook Methodist Church, her selfless heart continued to nurture young souls, fostering their growth in Christ's ways as her health allowed.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Daybrook Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 11 am until the funeral time at 12 pm with Pastor Fred Eddy, II officiating.
