It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Leigh Carr Huffman, who left us on October 14th, 2024. Terry was born on March 29, 1946, in Shinnston, West Virginia to Ethel McCoy and Porter Carr. Terry is preceded in death by Mother, Ethel McCoy; Father, Porter Carr; Stepmother, Rosy Salerno; Brother, Richard Carr and by her beloved step grandmother who raised her Maria Salerno of Pine Bluff, West Virginia.

Terry leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her Sister, Linda Hoover of Naples, Florida; Daughter, Gloria McClain (Huffman) and son in law William McClain of Rivesville, West Virginia; Daughter, Lana Curran (Huffman) of Naples, Florida; Grandchildren, Jonathan Carroll, Dylan Curran, and Brooke Curran and Niece Tammy Rondove (Hoover) and Nephews Mark Hoover and Mike Hoover. She is survived by many friends that she considered family.

Terry dedicated much of her life to working hard, starting with her time at the Westinghouse Plant where she made light bulbs on the assembly line. She also worked at Salerno Brothers, directing traffic, and eventually inherited the family restaurant, Terry's Restaurant in Shinnston, West Virginia. In 1986, Terry moved to Naples, Florida where she later opened Terry's Cleaning.

Terry's greatest accomplishments in life were her family and grandchildren. She loved nothing more than entertaining friends and family, cooking and baking delicious meals, decorating for all holidays, gardening, and caring for animals, including her beloved Sammy Squirrel. She proudly cheered on the Miami Heat, never missing a televised game. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends at Sawgrass Restaurant. Her passion for life and unwavering love for her family and friends will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Terry Huffman will forever be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and infectious laughter. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved by so many.

Funeral services will be held at New Hope Church at 7675 Davis Blvd, Naples FL 34104 at 11a.m. on Friday, October 25th, 2024 with Pastor Jesse Barrett officiating. A luncheon will be held in her honor at Vineyard Community Park at 6231 Arbor Boulevard W., Naples, FL 34119 following the church service.
