Steven Ray Musgrove
Steven Ray Musgrove, 65, of Fairmont, passed away at his home surrounded by immediate family on Sunday, September 15, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 22, 1954, in Bethesda, Maryland; a son of Samuel Ray Musgrove and Velda Amerilo Neel Musgrove, of Fairmont.

Steven graduated from East Fairmont High School and West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Formerly employed at US Steel, Eichleay Engineering, and Doddridge Controls, he was a lead engineer, designing and implementing computer technology and overseeing various projects. Upon retirement, he socialized by working at K&T Truck Stop.

He is remembered for his unique, genius intellect - being an avid astronomer, HAM Radio Operator, and outdoorsman. He held much love for his family, friends, and especially his beloved cat, Shredder. His favorite band was Pink Floyd. Oh Steve, "how we wish you were here"!

When asked about his life he said, "I lived life the way I wanted; I have no regrets."

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Debra Kay Hetrick and Lisa Fay Treadway (husband Tim), and niece, Kaelin Rae Hetrick, of Fairmont.

He was preceded in death by infant niece, Amy Jo Treadway and grandparents: Victor and Myrtle Neel, Samuel Musgrove Sr., Opal Musgrove Stansberry, and Cecil Stansberry.

In keeping with Steven's wishes, all services will be private.
