Fairmont, West Virginia - Shaun David "Dew" Wine, passed away April 10, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born April 4, 1980.

Shaun was well known for his kindness and big heart. Shaun would literally give someone the shirt off his back. He never knew a stranger.

Shaun served in the United States Marine Corp. The USMC reserves, Reserve Guards for USMC as well as the Army National Guard.

Shaun volunteered for the Special Olympics for numerous years.

Shaun is survived by his wife, Amy Wine; his mother Kathryn Thompson; brother Larry R. Hibbs Jr. and sister-in-law Dorothy. Daughters Stephaine Wine, Shauna Wine, Samantha Wine, Shelby Wine, Reagan Wine, Kennedy Wine, Caitlin Helmick, and Nikell Helmick, and his niece Patricia Hibbs, Uncle Clarence "Tommy" Thompson and wife Valerie, Aunt Kimberly Martin and husband Dan, Aunt Charlene Thompson, numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by maternal grandparents Clarence and Patricia Thompson, paternal grandparents Charles and Blanche Wine, his father Ronald "Dave" Wine, daughters Angel Rose Wine and Mattison Caroline Wine, and granddaughter Wren, uncles John Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson.

Shaun left a lasting memory on all who knew him. He will be missed tremendously.

Friends and Family may call the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street Fairmont, West Virginia, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home.
