Saundra Rae Majic Obituary

Fairmont, West Virginia - Saundra Rae Majic, 76 of Fairmont, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. She was born on March 30, 1949, the daughter of the late Ronald Elwood and Geraldine Shazer Addis. She is survived by her loving husband Jack Joseph Majic.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Ryan Majic of Fairmont, and Aron Majic and his wife, Courtney, of Fairmont: her brother, Ronnie Addis, and his wife Leona, of Vanderbilt, PA; three grandchildren, Jack Jozef Majic, Laney Rae Majic, and Nora Jo Majic; and her niece, Rachael Christopher. In addition to her parents, Saundra was proceeded in death by her nephew, Ronnie "Skoot" Addis.

Saundra formerly served as a Teacher in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and later worked for the Marion County Board of Education as a Teacher's assistant. She was the Director of My Mom & Me Daycare Center in Fairmont and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairmont. Saundra was a graduate of Connellsville High School and Fairmont State College where she belonged to the Delta Zeta Sorority. She enjoyed gardening, her pool, and spending time with her family and friends. Anyone close to Saundra knew her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and wife. She was a true matriarch.

The family has requested memorial donations be made in Saundra's name to the Marion County Humane Society at, 2731 Locust Avenue, Fairmont, WV 26554. A special thank you to Alexis, RN and the WVU Medicine Hospice Team for the love and care they provided to Saundra and her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. A private graveside service of committal will be held for Saundra at Mt Carmel Cemetery with the celebrant Father Kishore Varaparla, HPN.
