Ruby Elaine Cross Page Obituary

Ruby Elaine Cross Page, 83, of McFarland Run of Hagan's Community, passed away Sunday afternoon in Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown after a short illness. She was born Sept. 7, 1935 in Marion County, daughter of the late Zada "Jack" and Gladys Layman Cross. She was also preceded in death by her husband Cecil Golden Page, who died in 2000. Ruby was a Methodist by faith. She had earlier worked at Westinghouse and Bell Telephone Co. in Fairmont. Later in life she went back to school to further her education to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, for fifteen years until her retirement. Ruby very much enjoyed all family activities and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and living on the farm. She also volunteered and was active with the Arnettsville Community Center. Survivors include two daughters, Susan and husband Ray Lucot of Tennessee and Rebecca "Becky" Wade of Fairmont; a son and his wife Michael "Scott" and Heather Page of Arnettsville; five grandchildren, Ben Lucot of Tennessee, Kristina Page Wade of Fairmont, Emilee Rebecca Wade of Fairmont, Alex Wade of Fairmont and Trevor Michael Page of Arnettsville; and several dear friends including Schruyler Celeski of Rice Landing, Pennsylvania, Kay Murray of Hagan's Community, and Connie Dalton of Arnettsville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Leevonne Boggs and three brothers, Jackie Cross, Presley Cross, and Carol Cross. Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville, WV from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, and from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Saturday, Nov. 3 at 12 noon, with Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating. Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Garden in Morgantown, WV.
