Robert Keith Hawkinberry
Robert Keith "Skip" Hawkinberry, 79, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at his residence. He was born on August 07, 1940, in Fairmont, a son of the late John F. and Ruth (Hartley) Hawkinberry.

After graduating East Fairmont High School, Skip went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy; he worked as a coal miner, as well as bus driver for the Marion County Board of Education with over 20 years of service. He will be remembered for his love of camping, fishing, and antique cars, but most of all, of family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ann Hawkinberry, who passed away in 2009.

He was also preceded in death by sisters: Barbara Jean Spencer, Phoebe Jane Stickles, and Marjorie Stickles; and brothers, Raymond Hawkinberry and Carl Hawkinberry.

Skip is survived by daughters, Crystal Dudash and husband David, of Fairmont, Terri Sawyers and husband Doug, of Virginia, and Traci Bundy and husband Chad, of Fairmont; sister, Shirley Givens and husband, Joe, of Virginia; grandchildren: Holly Weghorst and husband Jake, Brent Dudash, Kurt Dudash and wife Amanda, Jenny Bundy, Andrew Bundy, Samantha Sawyers, and Abigail Sawyers; great-grandchildren: Holden Dudash, Archer Dudash, Ava Weghorst, and Calvin Weghorst; and special friend, Nancy Shaulis.

Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont on Friday from 4 pm. - 7 p.m. and on Saturday, November 30, 2019, from 10 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Larry Harker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
