Fairmont, WV - Robert Joseph Beafore, 85, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on August 28, 2025 at home. He was born on October 3rd 1939, in Fairmont, the son of the late John Beafore & Mary (Nicoletti) Beafore.

He is survived by his wife Molly (Delapas) Beafore; daughter Sara & husband Tim Bosley; grandson Matthew Bosley & wife Georgeanne Bosley; granddaughter Emily (Bosley) Reasnover & husband Pepper Reasnover Jr; great-grandchildren Nico & Mariella Reasnover and Rhett & Rainy Heston; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Robert in death are his parents, John & Mary Beafore; son, Robert (Bobby) Beafore; brothers, Louis Beafore, Bill Beafore, John (Rusty) Beafore; sisters, Rene (Beafore) Gibson, Rose (Beafore) Grande, Teresa (Beafore) Pazourek, Mary (Beafore) Mokayesh.

Robert was a veteran of the US Army where he learned the skills to become a machinist. He continued his career at FMC/Galis/Eimco. Robert married Molly Delapas on July 27, 1963 in Oakland, Maryland.

Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time at his second home, his camp in Preston County. He was very proud of his vegetable garden, a love passed down from his mother. He enjoyed golfing and bowling with his buddies. He was a legendary story teller and did not miss a single detail. His stories made you laugh, reflect, and feel connected. His family meant everything to him. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 1-8 p.m. & Wednesday September 3rd from 9-11 a.m. at Ross Funeral Home in Fairmont, WV. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
