Richard was an army veteran during the Vietnam era serving in Fort Ord, California. He worked at many companies throughout his life and retired from Cooper Automotive as Director of Material and Logistics. Known for his optimism and love for the simple pleasures in life, Richard could often be found building something with his hands, tending to his beautiful hillside, enjoying his books and movies, and playing poker with his grandkids.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are: his children, Richard D. Webb (Alexandria) of Washington, D.C. and Alison Anderson (John) of New Orleans, LA; three grandchildren, Xander and Velia Webb and Olivia Anderson; three sisters Donna Smith (Loren), Nancy Johnson and Patricia Webb, his mother in law Veronica Mick, brother in law Ruben Mick (JoEllen), sister in law Marlene Newell (Frank) and dear friends Tom and Karen Yokum.
His family extends their deepest gratitude to Fairmont Medical Center, Amedisys Health and Domico Funeral Home for the compassionate care they provided and a heartfelt thanks to the neighbors and friends who offered kindness and support during his later years.
Richard's positivity touched all who knew him and he encouraged everyone to choose kindness. While he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he is now free from pain and at peace. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
