Patricia Ann Waller
Patricia "Patty" Ann Waller, 79, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 30, 1940, in Manheim, Preston County, a daughter of the late Victor Pyles Sr. and Mary (Shay) Pyles.

After graduating Rowlesburg High School, Patty attended Fairmont State, where she received her Nursing degree. She was a Registered Nurse with 35 years of service at Fairmont Regional Medical Center, where she helped open the Cardiac Care Unit, and served as the Head Nurse in the Emergency Department. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rowlesburg. She was also active in the Fairmont Relay for Life and loved bowling. She will be remembered for her outgoing and kind personality - everyone who knew Patty loved her. She was a proud four-time cancer survivor.

Patty is survived by son, Donald Ray Waller and wife Brenda, of Morgantown; daughter, Kimberly Kay Waller, of Fairmont; brother, Victor John Pyles Jr. and wife Donna, of Elkins; sister, Deborah Louise DeLauder and husband Tom, of Terra Alta; grandchildren: Amanda Jo Waller, Sarah M. Schroen, Michael Waller, Justin Waller, Donnie Waller, and David Sizemore; great-grandchildren: James Bonner, Eli Schroen, and Jarren Bonner; and nieces and nephews: Robin Irwin, Jaime Sharpless, Angelia Pyles, and VJ Pyles III.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Rebecca Sue Pyles Russell.

Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. In keeping with Patty's wishes, she will be cremated.

I was in nurses training with Patty many years ago. She was a senior when I was a freshman. She was always so good to help out the rookies. I loved her sense of humor and kind heart. I know many were blessed to have her in their life and care.

She was such a very sweet woman who will always be my mother-in-law. She never had a harsh word to say and was so loving to me.

I'm the daughter of Sandra Jones mom and Patty were long time coworker's and friends they're friendship lasted long after retirement from F.G.H. .Every time I would run into Patty she always had a smile on her face and laughter in her voice .life wasn't always easy for patty , still she lived for the best in every day . I saw patty often at craft shows at she booth surrounded by all of she beautiful crocuied doilies (so lovely) Patty was my mom's friend who also was mine. This world will be a little quieter without her PROUD Voice in it .Patty is loved and will be missed.
