Fairmont, WV - Mistie Martin, 46, of Fairmont, went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2025, after a long journey through illness. She was born in Fairmont on March 28, 1979, a daughter of Loretta Manning and the late Jeffrey Manning.

Mistie had a heart that made everyone feel at home. She leaves behind memories and laughter. Mistie enjoyed quilting, the outdoors, scrapbooking, flowers, gardening, and animals. She was employed by Fairmont State University. She was a member of Willow Tree Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, Mistie is survived by her husband, Douglas Martin; children, Ben Martin and Zac Martin; brother, Jason Manning (Krista Hays); nieces and nephews, Kailey Hickman, Jason Manning, and Alex Martin; a great niece, Callie Hickman; a friend who was like a sister, Amanda Bowers and her husband Michael; and her Godson, Sam.

In addition to her father, Mistie was preceded in death by her children, Joey and Emilyn Blair; sister, Trixie Minor; paternal grandparents, Bob and Muriel Manning; and maternal grandparents, Dayton Elswick, Nancy Cox, and Frank Cox.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Knotts officiating.
