Michael Andrew Posey was born February 21, 1940 in Francis Mines, West Virginia to Margaret Juhos Posey and Hubert B. Posey. He passed unexpectedly on the morning of October 3, 2019. Michael was a loving son, brother, uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Mary Oliverio Posey; brother, James L. Posey; and sisters, Lois Posey DeHaven and Rosemary Mancino Theis. Michael is survived by his brothers David L. Posey and Gary P. Posey (Anita); and sister, Patricia Posey Lang (Dennis). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: D. Scott, Kristi, Leila, Mary Jane, Julie, Brian, Darren, Terri, Shannon, Brad, Dawn, J. Joseph and Melissa.

Michael spent his early years in West Virginia, lived most of his life in Indiana, and more recently lived in Annapolis, Maryland and Streetsboro, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Armed Forces and was Honorably Discharged in August 1959. He was a devout Christian, loved Billy Graham, read his Bible daily memorizing much of it. He was known for his friendliness and made many memorable experiences for everyone he met.

Friends and family are welcome to join in the celebration of his life at Harmer Funeral Home on Tuesday October 8, 2019 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Sabrina Haught officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
