Rivesville, WV - Mike passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2025. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life Wanda Townsend. He loved Wanda beyond words, his world revolved around ensuring she was happy and showing her true love daily. Mike's fur babies are missing him as well.

Mike left behind his siblings, Frank Townsend, Karen McCallister and her spouse Bill, Clovis "Coke" Townsend Nickolich and her spouse Chet. He is survived by his beloved niece Jessica Shaffer, nephew Matt McCallister and his wife Autumn and two great nieces Quinn & Scarlett McCallister. Mike is survived by one uncle, Cris Maruka. Preceding Mike in death is his parents Frank "Bobe" & Yvonne "Doody" Townsend which he loved dearly and spoke about often telling wonderful stories.

Mike was well known and respected by many in his community of Woods Run/Baxter WV. He along with his family owned & operated Townsend's Exxon for many years. Mike will always be remembered for his love of fast cars and his gift for gab.

There will be a private celebration of life held for Mike in the near future with immediate family.
