Michael "Mike"Taylor Obituary

Michael "Mike" S. Taylor, 48, of Fairmont, died Tuesday morning (Feb. 6, 2007) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after loosing the battle with cancer. He was born on Sept. 5, 1958, in Fairmont, a son of the late Ervin and Delara Sullivan Taylor. Mike was employed at Novelis as a mill operator and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, Local No. 1. Mike enjoyed his job tremendously. Mike was baptized in the Catholic faith. He graduated from Fairmont State University. He is survived by his wife, Rose Ierace Taylor of Fairmont; three sons, Courtney, Michael and Martin; and two brothers, Stanley Taylor and Pete Taylor, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and one sister Sharon Taylor Carr of Cleveland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Taylor. The family will recieve friends and relatives to celebrate Mike's passing at the Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, today from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 1-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with the Father Robert A. Perriello as celebrant and Father Harry Cramer as co-celebrant. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. A Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Mike will be sadly missed by his loved ones, including his dogs Fatty and Duncan. Mike's heart was always in the right place.
