Somerset, Pennsylvania - Linda P. Gattian, 78 of Somerset and formerly of Fairmont, West Virginia, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday January 10th 2026. Linda is preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Mary E. Preston, Lyndon Gattian and the two loves of her life, her son Christopher N. Gattian, and her partner James Ray Gooden. Linda long awaited the reunion with her son. Linda is survived by her Gooden and Gattian family as well as her Saint Peter's Parish family. Linda was a proud West Virginian, being a graduate of Fairmont High School and Fairmont State University. Linda was employed as the Administrative Assistant at St. Peter's Catholic Church for many years, where she was beloved by all. Anyone who entered her office was bound to hear her infectious laugh and leave with a piece of chocolate. Linda will be deeply missed by her many dear friends and family. At her request, there will be no visitation or viewing. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM this Friday January 16th 2026 at St. Peter's Catholic Church 433 W. Church St. Somerset, Pa, with the Reverend Father Angelo Patti as celebrant. She will be laid to rest in the Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church or Birthright of Somerset Inc. Arrangements under the direction of the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.
