Linda J. Bartic Obituary

Fairmont, WV - Linda Jean Bartic, 77, of Fairmont, formerly of Rivesville, passed away peacefully Friday, October 3, 2025 at home with Paula and Nelson. She was born in Fairmont on October 7, 1947, the oldest daughter of the late Paul and Edith Malick Bartic.


She is survived by her dear sister and brother-in-law Nelson and Paula Ciumedean with whom she shared a home. Also, the special people in her life that were like her family, Phyllis and Roman Fetherol; Arnette Loggins; her #2 Mom, Antoinette Haught, and Mary Pobega Trimble, Paula's lifelong friend.


Linda loved children and although she had none of her own, she was Aunt Lynn to many, at times that included two generations. Surviving is her niece Jen Fetherol Pulice (Eric) and her great nephew Jacob Pulice, niece Charli Utt (Ronnie) and her three great nephews, Joshua, John and Josiah Utt. She is also survived by her recent little niece Emma Delong, daughter of special friends Anna Delong and granddaughter of Sharon Hiltz.


In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Andrew and Sophia Bartic and John and Blanche Malick Zelenak, her special cousin, Betty Jean Yokley and her very dear friends Mona Howes Pickering and Janet Salvati.


Linda graduated from Rivesville High School and first worked at Sixth Street Pharmacy where she made lifelong friends especially Martha Lester and husband Deacon David Lester. She then supervised Circulation at Fairmont State University Library for 31 years and loved working and helping the students there.


Since retirement she took great joy in volunteering at Fairmont Catholic School in the Library and in the office at the Rectory at St. Peter the Fisherman.


She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Church in Fairmont.


In accordance with Linda's wishes all services were private. She was laid to rest by her Parents and Grandfather at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.


Linda's family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at WV Caring for their compassionate care, and Fr. Joe Konikattil, Deacon David Lester, Sisters Reeta, Mary, Miranda, Neetha, and Shalma for all their prayers and support.


Arrangements were under the care of Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont, WV.
