Lester David Whiteman, 72, passed away on April 10, 2025 in McMurray, Pennsylvania.

Born on December 2, 1952 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Jack Robert Whiteman, Sr. and Elizabeth (Fiori) Whiteman. He served his country with honor in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military serviced, Lester earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering technology and went on the build a career grounded in dedication and technical expertise. He was employed with Omnicell for 18 years. In his spare time, Lester enjoyed woodworking, and was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast.

Lester shared 33 years of marriage with his wife, Janice (Baute) Whiteman. He is fondly remembered by his siblings, Ruth (James) Ashcraft and James (Kil) Whiteman; sister-in-law Misty Whiteman; and stepchildren William Brock, Susan (Deana) Dorsett-Brock, and Edwin Brock, III. His legacy also lives on through grandchildren Jordan (Nathan) Wright-Antantis and Courtney Dorsett-Brock; great-grandchildren Skylar, Luna, and Aurora; nieces and nephews Jimmy (Amy) Hickman, Kristina (Luther) Molisee, Jack (Nita)Robert Whiteman III, Mandy (Jason) Heaster, and Josh Whiteman; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews, whom he delighted in spoiling.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his younger brother, Jack Robert Whiteman, Jr.; stepson Robert Brock; great-nephew Colby Hickman; and several aunts and uncles.

Lester's life was marked by service, quiet strength, and steadfast commitment. His memory will continue to bring warmth to those who knew him.
