Juanita Marie Holloway Brown, 90, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Fairmont, died March 3, 2019 in Charlotte. She was born Feb. 13, 1929 in Fairmont, daughter of the late Hazel Marie Dalton Holloway and the late Aaron Holloway Sr.

Juanita attended Dunbar school and was married to her high school sweetheart, David "Buddy" Brown Jr., for 56 years. She retired from Owens Illinois Glass Factory and was affiliated with the Morning Star Baptist Church. "Nita," as she was fondly called, loved to read and entertain her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Carol Brown, Janet (Chester) Hines and Stanley (Carolyn) Brown, all of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Corey Hines, Charisse Parker, David "Hodgie" Brown, III, and Christopher (Sarah) Brown; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; five siblings, Betty, Gladys, Roy, Connie and Sue; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; 11 siblings, Aaron Jr, June, Bob, Barbara, Helen, George, Richard, Idabelle, Gay, Clyde and Billy; one grandson, Branden Hines.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 11-noon, the hour of the service, at Heritage Funeral Home in Charlotte. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to Stanley Brown, 3317 Williams Road, Matthews, NC 28105.
