John Louis Jackson, 57, of Fairmont, passed away on February 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born on August 3, 1961 in New York, NY, the son of the late Willa Mae Jackson. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Cora and Andrew Jackson.
He was educated in the Marion County school system and graduated from Fairmont Senior High School. His grandparents took him to Mt. Zion Baptist Church at a young age where he sang in the Gospel Chorus. He was previously employed by the Fairmont Field Club for several years. Following, he was employed by Wendy's Restaurant for over 18 years.
John is survived by his loving cousin, Juanita Cantrell of Indianapolis, Indiana.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Rev. Wesley Q. Dobbs officiating.
