Shinnston, West Virginia - John Edward Canjar, 87, of Worthington, passed away at his residence on June 13, 2022. He was born in Worthington on October 7, 1934 to the late John Canjar Sr. and Mary Mayher. John is survived by his son Patsy Mezzanotte Sr. of Morgantown; grandsons John Mezzanotte of Worthington and Patsy Mezzanotte of Monongah; great-granddaughter Angelina Booker and husband Damon Booker of Clarksburg; and great-great-grandchildren Carson Colasessano, Matthew Colasessano, and Xavier Booker all of Clarksburg. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Canjar; Sister Elizabeth Mae Canjar of Worthington, and great-great-grandson Logan Colasessano.

He was a coal miner and enjoyed working on his farm.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. A funeral will follow at the funeral home at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
