Bridgeport, West Virginia - Jerry Sue Davis, 78, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Bridgeport Health Care. She was born March 27, 1944 in Shinnston, a daughter of the late Herbert A. and Erma G. Crislip Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Layne Davis after 45 years of marriage, her seven brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Rodney Williams (Joyce) and Susie Watkins, all of Shinnston, Misty Tennant (Rob) of Bridgeport; grandchildren Chelsea Spiltler (Jake) of Meadowbrook, Taylor Tennant of Bridgeport, Hannah Watkins of Fairmont, Lainey Sinno of Shinnston; Great-grandchildren, Jaeleigh Facemire and Raymond Gonzalez, both of Meadowbrook; Several special nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs Davis was formerly employed at Westinghouse, JC Penney Catalog, and Rite Aid in Shinnston. She attended Bible Baptist Fellowship Church, Gypsy and was a member of the Coon's Run Homecoming Choir. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the employees of WVU Hospice and to the Bridgeport Health Care employees.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St., Shinnston from 3-8 PM Sunday and 10-11 am Monday. A funeral will be at 11:00 AM Monday, November 7, 2022 with Pastors George Heitman and Robert Tennant officiating. Interment will follow at Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
