JAMES THOMAS, III

James Thomas, 58, of Jakes Run died Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at his camp at Big Bear Lake.

He was born January 8, 1965, a son of the late James (Jimmy) Thomas and Carol Thomas.

Jamie retired from Cumberland Coal Mines in 2015.

Surviving is his wife, Sonya Stibler Thomas; son Colten Thomas and his fiance' Abby Slider; son Dereck Miller and his wife Paige; brothers, Darrell Turner (Judy), William "Bronco" Johnson (Vicky); sister, Michelle Nicholson (Chris); and many cousins, friends, and other extended relatives that loved him and will miss him dearly.

He also leaves behind his Big Bear Family whom he enjoyed spending time with. Jamie loved to ride on his golf cart all over the Big Bear Campground. He also enjoyed riding his Harley for several years.

Friends may call at the Noah's Ark Assembly of God in Fairview, WV on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the church at 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Doug Steele officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.

The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
