James "Jim" Howard Straight, 76 of Grafton, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Grafton City Hospital. He was born in Fairmont on December 24, 1947, son of the late James O. and Pearl Loraine McIntire Straight. Jim is survived by his wife, Charlene Williams Straight, they were married September 6, 1999 spending more than twenty-four wonderful years together.
Jim was a graduate of Monongah High School. He worked many years for Ground Breakers as a heavy equipment operator. Jim had a passion for old cars and loved attending car shows to show off his 1962 Ford Galaxy while talking with the other car enthusiast. He was a member of the Taylor County Boat Club and was an avid WVU sports fan. Jim loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Jim is survived by one son, William "Bill" Howard Straight (Natalie); two grandchildren, Billy Straight and Sammy Straight.
In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Robin Straight.
