Jack Franklin Bernardo, 83, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Fairmont, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026.
He was born October 17, 1942, in Fairmont, a son of the late Louie A. and Mary H. Bernardo.
Mr. Bernardo proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was well known for his years in radio with WMMN and as the voice of numerous local sporting events, earning the nickname "Voice of the Huskies." He later worked at Soles Electric until his retirement. In retirement, he resided in Myrtle Beach, where he enjoyed golfing and spending time at the beach.
Surviving are his children, Anthony C. Bernardo (Nicole) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; Jacquelyn S. Bernardo (fiancé Alex) of St. Johns, Florida; Kristine DeVine of Morgantown; John DeVine (Jane) of Evans, Georgia; and Suzanne DeVine of Alexandria, Virginia; several grandchildren; and his sisters, Mary Lou McDonald (Rodney) and Renee Kerns (David).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda K. Bernardo.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
