Hoy O'Dell Currey age 79 of Currey Road, McGee Community passed away at his residence with his family by his side. Hoy was born June 16, 1939 the son of late Truman Dennis Currey and Grace Dexter (Withers) Currey.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Gwanda Jane (Voyle) Currey ; four children, Wendy L. Dove and husband Dr. Scott Dove of Wythville, Va., Cindy S. Marchewka of Grafton, WV, Michael L. Currey and wife Laurah Currey of Pittsburg, Pa., Holly J. Hess and Husband James Hess of Grafton, WV; ten Grandchildren: Thomas, Derek, Matthew, Kelby, Coleman, Heather, Megan, Kyle, Gage and Skye; four Great Grandchildren: Jayda, Bella, Blake and Bryan. One brother: Kevin Currey of Fairmont, WV.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Richard D. Currey and Glenn E. Currey.

Hoy was a Glass Bottle Blower for Owens Illinois Glass Plant in Fairmont and later a truck driver. He was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Fairmont.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton, today, May 21st, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Harris officiating. At Hoy's request he then will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
