Howard Lawrence Dennison
Howard Lawrence Dennison, 84, of Fairmont (Hoult Community), passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019, at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1934, in Fairmont, a son of the late Harriet Lillian Odewalt and William Lawrence Dennison.

He was formerly employed at Owens-Illinois with 27 years of service and Fairmont Regional Medical Center with 15 years of service. He will be remembered for his love of hunting, camping, football, and western movies, but most of all, of his family and friends.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Charlotte Ann (Knight) Dennison.

He is also survived by sons, Rick Dennison and wife Sherry, and William Dennison, all of Fairmont, and Butch Dennison and wife Linda, of Green River, Wyoming; daughters: Debbie Hess and husband Rick, Joyce Hibbs and husband Gary, Trish Rager and husband Rick, and Sandra Goad, all of Fairmont; as well as several loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Howard was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Lillian Thornburg, Mildred Tennant, Edith Jackson, and Betty Vincent; and two brothers, Harold Dennison and William Dennison.

Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Thursday from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. and on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 11 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
