Helen Jacques Simmons, 85, of Grafton passed away Thursday March 13, 2025 at the Pierpont Center in Fairmont. She was born on September 12, 1939 in Fairmont daughter of the late Sesario and Flora Martinez Jacques.

Helen retired from Westinghouse/North American Phillips and worked in Seal Beam and was a member of IUE Local 627. She previously worked at Standard Furniture, Sauro's Dry Cleaning, and Sears.

She is survived by her daughter Ramona Anderson Warner of Grafton and son Delbert and wife Nikki Simmons of Jonesborough, Tennessee. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Walker and Dalton and wife Rachel Simmons and two great-grandchildren Ella, and Scarlett.

Helen is also survived by her two sisters Maria Jacques Garcia of Fairmont and Amelia Fluharty of Oviedo, Florida. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Ray and wife Kay Simmons of Shinnston.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth "Buck" Simmons in 2018, four sisters Mary Agnes Jacques, Elisa Jacques Huggins, Connie Richards, and Juanita Jacques Wilson and three brothers Fernando "Fred" Jacques, Ellsworth Jacques and Sesario Jacques, Jr. She is also preceded in death by her brothers-in-her Edward Garcia, Mack Wilson and Thomas "Buck" Fluharty and two sisters-in-law Helen Mocsary Jacques and Candace Jacques.

Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont on Monday 4-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until Noon. Funeral Services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Fr. Joseph Konikattil officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
