Helen Josephine McCord, 94, of Cassville, passed away on November 28, 2020 at Taylor County Health Center. She was a daughter of the late Bacel Henderson and Lillian Mae (Swick) Henderson.
Helen was a wife, mother, devoted to her faith and attended Sabraton Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, sitting on her porch visiting with friends and neighbors. She had the most beautiful flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Thomas McCord, Sr. and her only son, Arnold Thomas McCord, Jr. In addition, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Winata Howell, Junior Henderson, Walter William Henderson, Emma Jean Lohr, Kathleen Gerrard, and Margaret Louise Henderson in infancy.
Mrs. McCord is survived by one sister, Martha Joan Milinovich and husband Michael of Cave Creek, Arizona; her daughter-in-law, Trinka Jo McCord of Bridgeport, WV; grandson Thomas Jay McCord and wife Kim of Bridgeport, WV and great grandson, Zachary Thomas McCord and wife Valerie of Bridgeport, WV.
Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, November 30, from 4-7 pm and again on Tuesday, from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Scott Whetzel officiating. Following the service, interment will follow at Olive Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcculla.com
