Fred Thomas "Tom" Christopher, age 81, of Fairmont, WV passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 after a brief illness.

Born November 26, 1942 in Jenkins, KY, to Charles and Anne Christopher. The family later moved to Four States, WV. Tom was a 1960 graduate of Monongah High School. He served his country honorably in Vietnam as a combat medic with the Army's 4th Infantry Division. He spent the majority of his adult life working in the construction industry as a member of Carpenters Union 436. In his free time he was a prolific maker working with wood, metal, and other materials.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charlie Christopher. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Marlene Davis Christopher of Fairmont, WV; son Kevin L. Christopher and partner Jessica Bernard of Essex Junction, VT; son Todd G. Christopher and wife Staci L. Thornsbury, and their children Abbigail and Evan, all of Morgantown, WV.

Per his wishes, Tom will be cremated and his ashes scattered per his request. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses who took care of him in his final hours.
