Frank Richard Pulice Obituary

Frank (Frankie) Richard Pulice was born March 13, 1926, the youngest son of 20 children born to or adopted by Sophia and Sam Pulice, originally from San Giovanni de Fiore, Italy. Working from the age of seven Frank learned from the school of hard knocks and often said it's not what you know but who you know that makes a difference. Close friends to politicians, industry and business giants, past governors, college football coaches and just about everyone in Shinnston, Frank took great pride in this small town. He was the star meatball salesman for St. Ann's Church and prided himself with helping others by working to fund projects including the Harrison County Emergency Squad building, St. Ann's kitchen, and various Lincoln High School projects. Frank was also a tireless advocate for the Holy Name Society for St. Ann's. He worked for Owens Illinois Glass Plant for many years as well as Mon Power Plant. He took pride in his work and often worked double shifts. He was a loyal active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Columbian Club and enjoyed his nights out with the boys. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Martie) of 68 years, their daughter Marina (Fred) Miller and 3 grandchildren Maryn, Rory (Jacqui) and Mallory Miller and one remaining sister, Betty Riley (Denny). He is preceded in death by his many brothers and sisters, Anthony, Virginia Lee, and Rose who died many years ago. Ralphie (Dominic), Katie (Frank), Mary (Dominic), Julie (Joe Bill), John (Helen), William (Katherine), Charlene (John), and Tony (Helen).

Our family would especially like to thank John and Marie Marchio for their total love, devotion and support, Frankie and Mary Gay Prioloette for calling every day, Sparky, Perry, Mike, Ted, the DeMarco family and St. Ann's Parish for always including and looking out for him and Martie.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike Street, Shinnston West Virginia, Monday July 29th from 2 to 8. A prayer service will be at the funeral home at 7:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church by Reverend Akila Rodrigo, TOR at 10:00 AM on Tuesday July 30th. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
