Elizabeth "Baby" Fluker, 92, of Newport News, Virginia, formerly of Fairmont, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, at her residence, on Wednesday (June 6, 2018). She was blessed to be surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 19, 1926 in Rankin, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late David Brown Sr. and Reller Mae Eddins Brown.

She was a faithful member of Calvary Chapel in Newport News, Virginia.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, her caregiver, Johnnie Mae Johnson of Newport News, Virginia and Valerie Fluker of Perris, California; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Juanita Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Sergeant John Palmer; three brothers Frank, David Jr. and Bobby; and two sisters, Jean Brown and Dorothy Robinson.

Aunt Baby, as she was lovingly called, was known for her delicious meals and it made her happy to watch her loved ones enjoy them.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today at Calvary Chapel, Newport News, Virginia. Condolences may be sent to Johnnie Mae Johnson, 402 Windmill Loop, Apt. 1B, Newport News, Virginia 23602.
