Morgantown, WV - Daniel Bocephus Abel, 37, passed away December 3, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with his family at his side. He was a son of George Allen Abel of Grafton and Barbara Ellen Davis Frank of Fairmont.

Daniel was a 2007 graduate of East Fairmont High School and attended Boothsville Baptist Church. He helped operate the T&L Hot Dog Cart in Morgantown, WV. Daniel enjoyed golfing, hunting in Coopers Rock and fishing in the Smoke Hole/Franklin area. He enjoyed spending time with his close friends and his cat "Frosty".

In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his step-mother Sue Abel of Grafton, his brother Robert Immanuel & wife Jessica Sengewalt Abel of Morgantown, sister Shannon Nicole Abel of Fairmont, step-brother David "DJ" Pahel Jr. of Parkersburg, and grandmother Mary Lee Abel of Grafton. He is also survived by a niece Alison Elliot, nephews Issac Elliott and Gabriel Bartholow, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Daniel was preceded in death by his twin sister April Dawn Abel and his grandparents Nancy and Paul Davis.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11a.m. with the Pastor Orville Wright officiating.
