Clark Vincent Gorby Jr., age 91 of Mannington, West Virginia passed away Thursday, September 5th, 2024 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born August 25th, 1933 in Littleton, WV a son of late Clark Gorby Sr. and Nell Hicks Gorby.

He is survived by his daughter Diana Cline of Fairmont and her husband Buddy, 6 grandchildren, Amber Gorby and companion Michael Farley, Colby Cline and companion Jill Lockhart, Josh Cline, and Andrew and Felicia McClure, Colin McClure and Alexa West, and 13 great-grandchildren. Clark is also survived by his nephew Tim Murphy and his wife Deb.

In addition to his parents, Clark was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Gorby McClure, his brother Jimmy Gorby, his sister Mary Gorby Murphy, and his grandson Christopher McClure.

Clark was Catholic by Faith attending the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Littleton. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting from his cabin on the hill. Clark served in the United States Army prior to working for and retiring from Bell Atlantic Phone Company with over 40 years of service. He also owned and operated Gorby Taxidermy.

There will be no funeral home services at this time as cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition. There will be a memorial service held at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Chaplin Bob Robinson officiating with full military rites by the United States Army Honor Guard and the Marion County Military Veterans Council. Inurnment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV has been placed in cared of the final arrangements.
