Newark, DE - Charles William "Bill" Hall, age 91, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Born in Fairmont, WV on June 29, 1934, he was the son of the late Woodrow Ray and Mary Margaret Elizabeth (Grottendieck) Hall. Bill was a graduate of St. Peter's Catholic High School in Fairmont, WV. He proudly served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he taught radar operations at Lowry AFB, CO and attained the rank of S/Sgt (T). Bill went on to graduate from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He worked at Hercules Corporation as an instrumentation engineer and project engineer and retired as a senior project engineer after 35 years of dedicated service. Bill also held a State of Delaware professional engineering license.

Bill was a devout Catholic and longtime member of Holy Family Parish in Newark, DE. He is a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council in Blacksburg, VA and a lifetime member of St. Michael Council #4548 in Newark, DE. He and his wife, Connie, were also active in Marriage Encounter serving as a leader couple.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Jean (Hudgins) Hall; and son, Gregory Michael Hall (surviving partner Joey Busa). He is survived by his children, Richard Alan Hall (Rev. Jacquelyn), Carla Jean Cuilik (CAPT USN, Ret. William), and Brian Kent Hall (Valerie); grandchildren, Ryan (Angela), Reed, Matthew (Meagan), Kelsey (Justin), Katie, Meredith, Brent (Phoenix), Caroline (Noah), and Aly; and great-grandchildren, Amy, Hayes, and Theo.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. A second visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark, DE where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Burial will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown, WV on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Charles W. Hall to Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713; or to NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, PO Box 2270, San Francisco, CA 94126.
