Charles Michael Lee Sidwell ("Mike") Obituary

Fairmont, WV - Charles Michael "Mike" Lee Sidwell, 75, passed away on

June 21, 2025, at his home in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was born on December 5, 1949, a son of the late Charles "Toby" and Ruth (Hawkins) Sidwell.

Mike never met a stranger. He loved to talk and connect with people and always with a smile, joke and laugh. He had a deep appreciation for the simple things in life. Long drives in the country, relaxing on the deck with his favorite beverage, and the comfort of enjoying a big bowl of soup beans. He was also an avid collector of different types of antiques.

Left to cherish his memory is his longtime companion, Sandra Lee Drain; one son, Charles Michael Sidwell, Jr.; one brother, Robert (Linda) Hawkins; three sisters, Marilyn Louise Miller, Diana Green, and Carolyne (Matt) Postle and several nieces and nephews.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Steven Richard Sidwell.

Keeping with his wishes direct cremation has taken place.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home for their compassion and professional service during this difficult time.
