Fairmont, WV - Charles Thomas "Tom" Little, 91, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his residence in Fairmont. Tom was born on January 17, 1934 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Charles L. and Josephine Merrifield Little. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Catherine Tonkery Little.

Tom was a Christian by faith and was a member of the Whitehall Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Grafton High School, Fairmont State College, and WVU with his Masters' degree. He was in the Army National Guard, and served as a teacher, an assistant principal, and later the Financial Officer for the Wood County Schools. He also started the W.E.E. Federal Credit Union in Parkersburg for Wood County Educational Employees

Tom taught adult Bible class at the Whitehall Church of Christ for over 25 years. He loved attending the Senior Saints Bible class at church as well. He was a diehard Pirates fan and attended as many games as possible with his friends. He loved his many cats, loved WVU football, and watching wildlife in his yard.

Tom is survived by his brother-in-law, William C. Tonkery of Fairmont along with many nieces and nephews who would always help when asked.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, "Lady" Catherine, his brother-in-law and his wife, Robert E. and Maxine Tonkery, and sister-in-law Mary Ann and her husband Lloyd Smith.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Friends and family may visit on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 2PM until 8PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Whitehall Church of Christ from 10AM until 11AM. The funeral will be held in the Church at 11AM with Evangelist Kevin Lough officiating.
