Charles Warren Duckworth, 66, of Lumberport, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. He was born on September 11, 1952, a son of the late Elton and Betty Duckworth McIntyre. On May 10, 1972, he married Sarah Lou Duckworth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lou Duckworth; stepfather, Jack McIntyre; infant daughter, Rhonda Duckworth; grandson, Hunter Duckworth; brothers, Rick Duckworth, Allen Duckworth, Thomas Duckworth.

He leaves behind four children, Char Lee Duckworth Merrill and husband John, Charlie Duckworth and Katrina Wiles, John Duckworth, Jason Duckworth and Jenna Conklin, and special daughters, Michelle Clemens and Emily Zimmerman; sisters, Marsha Riley and husband Jay, and Tamela McMurray and husband Bill; brothers, Roger Duckworth and wife Sharon, Michael Duckworth and wife Marsha; grandchildren, Marrissa Merrill, Austin Jenkins, Trenton Duckworth, Hailey Wratchford, Levi Clemens, Madison Merrill, Carly Duckworth, Austin Zimmerman, Logan Clemens, Bella Jones, Andrea Jones, Brayden Zimmerman, Ty Merrill, Chloe Zimmerman, Davin Zimmerman, and Leila Zimmerman; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a retired coal miner with Consol Energy at Robinson Run. He was a member of the American Legion Post 31 in Shinnston. He loved to hunt, fish, work on cars, spend time with his family, and playing the guitar with his buddy, Russ.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St., Shinnston on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a funeral service on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 11:00 PM with Pastor Max Palmer officiating.
