Brenda Jo "B.J." Logue, 63, of Fairmont, died Thursday morning (June 2, 2011) at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born in Fairmont on Jan. 21, 1948, daughter of the late John and Mary Kovach Lavigna. She retired from Fairmont General Hospital with several years of service as a social worker. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She attended St. Peter's School and then later received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Fairmont State College and her master's degree in social work from West Virginia University. She is survived by her husband, James R. Logue, and three sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Melanie DeFrance, James W. and Renate Logue, and Raymond and Diana Logue, all of Fairmont. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan, Emily, Caroline, Isabella and Cecilia. Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Monday. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church, Ninth Street and Fairmont Avenue, with the Rev. Siobhan Patterson officiating. In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, cremation will follow after the service.
