Betty Lenora Yost, 85, of Fairview, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. She was born February 9, 1939 in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Gladys Roll and Junior Riggs of Fairview, WV. Her husband of 26 years, James H. Yost, died December 16, 1993.

Mrs. Yost was employed by Bell's Market in Fairview for over 40 years. She graduated from Fairview High School, Class of 1957.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Christ, Washington Street for over 60 years. She taught a children's Bible Class for 25 years. She volunteered at the Fairview Senior Center from 2004-2010.

Mrs. Yost is survived by one brother, Donald Riggs of Morgantown, WV; an aunt, Louise Eddy White; and 65-70 nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by many close, dear friends that she loved and appreciated.

Mrs. Yost is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; husband, James H. Yost in 1993; sister, Thelma Devin, Baltimore in 1974; brother, Robert D. Riggs, Grant Town in 2003; brother, Junior K. Riggs, Fairmont in 2015; brother, Larry O. Riggs, Fairview in 2016; sister, Barbara Jean Riggs. Ohio in 2023; and infant brother and sister; a mother-in-law, Leah Yost; sister-in-law, Sara Yost; step-mom, Sarah White Riggs; sister-in-law, Sharon Hennen; sister-in-law, Mary Riggs; sister-in-law, Donna Riggs; sister-in-law, Sammie Riggs; and sister-in-law, Gerrie Riggs Sullivan.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home - Curry Chapel, 100 Grant Street in Fairview, on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Peter Ray Cole officiating.
