Fairview, WV - Betty Ruth Henderson, 101, of Fairview, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2026. She was born in Fairview on August 25, 1924, a daughter of the late Oscar Lough and Nellie Grace Pyles Lough.
Betty was a good Christian woman who was a wonderful mother to her four children. She was a major part of the Fairview Community and influenced the lives of many people and always wrote letters and sent cards to her family and friends.
Betty was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ and former member of the Pumpkin Center Church of Christ. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1942 and later graduated from Fairmont State College.
Betty is survived by her four children, Brenda Lloyd and her husband Allen of Fairview, Elaine McHenry of Fairmont, Alan Henderson and his wife Ellen of Fairview, and Douglas Henderson of Odessa, TX; grandchildren Gary McHenry II and his wife Jessica, Melanie Kiser, and Allen Lloyd II and his wife Jill; great grandchildren, Abigail Gibson and her husband Austin, Sarah Kiser, Luke Kiser, Byron Lloyd, Winston Lloyd, and Benjamin McHenry; great great grandchildren, Judah, Holland, Margaret, and Porter Gibson, and Caroline Gibson who is on the way.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Bud" Henderson; and her sisters, Maxine Marville and Wilda Tidwell.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home - Curry Chapel, 100 Grant Street in Fairview, on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Evangelist Mark Jones officiating.
