Altamonte Springs, FL - Barbara Kate (Bell) Myers, age 88, of Altamonte Springs, FL, (formally of Fairmont, WV) passed away peacefully Friday, January 23, 2026.

Barbara was born on August 7, 1937, in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of the late Don E Bell Sr and Bertie Holliday Bell. She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and St Mary's School of Nursing. Barbara dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a registered nurse, working in hospitals during her early career and later retiring from Wishing Well Senior Living Community in Fairmont, WV.

On December 10, 1960, Barbara married Richard E Myers, in Clarksburg, WV. They shared 58 years of marriage before his passing in 2019. Due to Richard's career, they lived in several West Virginia communities including Parkersburg, Webster Springs and Fairmont. In 2002, they relocated to Summerfield, FL, where they enjoyed their retirement years together.

Barbara was a devoted mother who wholeheartedly supported her children's many activities through the years and was an avid WVU football fan.

Barbara is survived by her children: Lee Ann Myers of Altamonte Springs, FL; Greg Myers of Miami, FL; and Janice (Tim) Zogelmann of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by her brothers, Don E Bell Jr of Clarksburg, WV, and David (Lori) Bell of Point Marion, PA; her sister- and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Joe Green of Warner Robins, GA, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her father- and mother-in- law, Ansel and Oma (Criss) Myers and her brother- and sister-in-law, Benny and Neta (Myers) Matthey, all of Clarksburg, WV.

A memorial service will be held on a future date in WV.
