Ann Marie Mascak Davis, 86, of Shinnston, passed away on January 5, 2023, after a long illness.
Ann was born on November 14, 1936, in Hutchinson, WV, the only child of John Mascak and Veronica Mozuke Mascak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Davis. She is survived by her only child, Lee Ann van Egmond of Pittsburgh, PA.
Ann graduated from Monongah High School in 1955 and Fairmont State College in 1972. She taught fifth grade at Johnson Elementary School in Bridgeport for over thirty years. Apart from her family, teaching was Ann's greatest joy. After her retirement from teaching, Ann helped organize the 2015 Hutchinson Grade School Reunion, of which she was especially proud.
Ann was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Shinnston and volunteered at the chapel at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Shinnston for many years.
In addition to her daughter, Ann is survived by many special cousins, of whom two - Ramona Jean and Loretta Jane - are most special. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
A private funeral service is planned.
