Alta DeEtta Lemasters, 96, of Fairmont passed away on Sunday, March 09, 2025, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Fairmont on December 02, 1928, the daughter of the late Pearley and Tillie Basnett Lemasters.
She retired from Westinghouse/Phillps Lighting with 40 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and loved her crossword puzzles. She most enjoyed the time spent with her family. She was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four brothers Pearley Lemasters Jr., Frank Lemasters, Robert "Bob" Lemasters and his wife Arletta and Paul Lemasters and his wife Billie; three sisters Mae Lemasters, Helen Kraemer, and Myrtle Engelmeyer and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Harold Lemasters and three sisters Beatrice Burton, Lillian Lemasters and Alice B. Lemasters.
Friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jackie Chambers and Pastor Jim Zinn officiating. Burial will follow Grandview Memorial Gardens.
