Alma Jean (Goff) Smarr, 78, of Fairview, WV, passed away on December 8, 2021 at Mon General Hospital. She was born in Clarksburg, WV on April 25, 1943, daughter of the late Wilford Roscoe Goff and Bertha Mae (Lucas) Goff.

In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lee Smarr Jr.; son, Wilford Lee Smarr; and sister, Susan Hayhurst.

Alma is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Smarr Boore and fiancé Scott Ashworth of Fairview and Carole Jean (Jeannie) Smarr McMillen and husband Mike of Morgantown; son, Robert Scott Smarr and wife Kelly of Worthington; two grandsons, Michael Boore and Samuel Ryan; three granddaughters, Elizabeth Campbell, Kendra Arnold, and Katlyn Ryan; three great grandsons, Dyson Boore, Braxton Fluharty, and Asher Fluharty; three great granddaughters, Lillian Boore, Lydia Campbell, and Gwyndolyn Arnold; four sisters, Diane Stuttler and husband Ronald of Shinnston, Jackie Vernon and husband Will of Great Falls, MT, Mary Barnhart of Massillon, OH, and Debbie Wilson and husband Joe of Zanesville, OH; and brother, Wilford G. Goff and wife Becky of Shinnston, WV.

Alma was a homemaker who loved to bake and cook and was a woman of prayer.

Private service for the family will be held at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, WV on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, time of service, with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. Interment will follow at Enterprise IOOF Cemetery.
