William Kenneth Martin, 86, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday (April 13, 2017) at Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Fairmont, on June 10, 1930, a son of the late William Russell Martin and Mary (Carpenter) Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Ann (Myers) Martin. The couple was married in November of 1958.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Kenneth was a member of the Victory Baptist Church. He retired from GA Brown Contracting as a foreman. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union.
Kenneth enjoyed hunting and fishing. He most enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Lee Bruder and her husband Gary of Fairmont; a granddaughter, Gloria Sirk of Grafton; and a very special great-grandson, Nicholas Williams.
Also surviving are his sisters, Kathleen Daristotle and her husband Joe of Fairmont, Rhoda Seccuro of Fairmont and Janet Sal of Morgantown; and nieces, nephews and several cousins.
In addition to parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Martin, and a brother-in-law, Tom Sal.
Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m today and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Nathan Barker officiating. Interment services will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be conducted at graveside by the Marion County Military Council Honor Guard.
