William Lou Goudy, 64, of Fairmount, Georgia, and formerly of Mannington, died Monday (March 13, 2017) at his residence.
He was born Nov. 23, 1952, in New Martinsville, a son of the late William Samuel and Juanita Mayne Smith Goudy.
Mr. Goudy was a veteran of the United States Army and had worked as a handyman.
Survivors include two sisters, Susan Kay Goudy (Fred) Craig, Shinnston and Ruth Marie (James) Cox, Shinnston; a brother, Luther "Luke" Eric Goudy, Bingamon; two brothers-in-law, Harold McIntire and Randy Barnes, both of Shinnston; a sister-in-law, Rose Goudy of Farmington; his girlfriend, Nellon Powell; 20 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Francine Goudy McIntire, Bonnie May (Doug) Drennen and Kim Goudy Barnes; a brother, Samuel Ray Goudy; a sister-in-law, Helen Goudy; and two nephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington. Funeral services will be held at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Chad Hutson officiating. Interment will be in the West Virginia National Cemetery at Pruntytown with full military honors rendered.
