William Anthony Fogus, 63, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Nov. 27, 2016) at his home following a long struggle with ALS.
He was born in Maryland on Oct. 16, 1953, a son of the late Robert Fogus and Pearl (Hill) Fogus.
William proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and 15 years in the Army Reserves. Following his military service, he worked as a coal miner for seven years, 11 years with the United States Post Office and lastly as an over-the-road truck driver.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Susan Yeager Fogus; a son, William Anthony Fogus, Jr. of New Orleans; one daughter, Susan Anne Fogus and her son, Issac of Ohio; two step-daughters, Ara Pysell and her husband Jeff of Fairmont and Karri Dawson of Georgia; step-grandchildren, Fred Hart and Daphne Pysell, Aaron Pysell, Jasmine Riley, Ivey Riley, Preston Riley and Daisey Martini; and two brothers, David Fogus and Donnie Fogus, both of Florida.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, cremation services will be provided by the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home.
