Vonda P. Casto, 92, of Glady Creek Community, passed away Saturday (April 16, 2016) in the Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Buckhannon, the daughter of the late Sylvantus A. Post and Josephine Peters Post.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis K. Casto in 2003.
Mrs. Casto is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Coleen Casto of Glady Creek Community; a daughter, Shirley Casto of Pleasant Valley; three grandchildren, Sharon Knight of Fairmont, Kelly and her husband Scott Fleming of Fairmont, and Timothy and his wife Christie Casto of Glady Creek Community; six great-grandchildren, Patrick and his wife Meredith Knight, Lauren Knight, Jenna Casto, Emma Casto, Charlotte Fleming and Adrian Fleming; two great-great-grandchildren, Celia Knight and Wren Knight; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Merlin D. Post and Maynard Post.
She was a homemaker, member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School. Mrs. Casto enjoyed gardening, bird watching and hosting holiday dinners for her family. She was faithful to her daily devotion time with her Bible.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Zinn officiating. The committal service will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
