Virginia Ann Heldreth Hughes, 54, of Main Street, Rivesville, passed away early Thursday evening in her residence.
She was born Sept. 16, 1962, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, daughter of the late Burl Ross, Sr. and Margaret Lucille Compton Heldreth.
Mrs. Hughes was a Christian by faith. She served as a certified nursing assistant in Alliance, Ohio, and later with family services, the Arbors and Personal Home Care, all of Fairmont.
She enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing, gardening, loved animals and truly enjoyed all family activities.
Survivors include her husband, Carl E. Hughes of Rivesville; two daughters, Jennifer and her husband Franklin Stewart of Fairmont and Amanda Renee Hughes of White Hall Community; four sons, Carl W. Hughes of Rivesville, Bradley J. Hughes of Fairmont, Russell A. King of Clarksburg and Michael Anthony Hughes of Fairmont; two brothers, Roger and his wife Sue Heldreth of Shinnston and David Heldreth of Fairmont; 13 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Callette Marie Heldreth and two brothers, Frank Heldreth and Burl Heldreth, Jr.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville, WV. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor James Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery and Mausoleum in Fairmont.
