Susan's Story

Susan Ann Davidson, 80, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday (May 30, 2017) at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
She was born Dec. 9, 1936, in Chiefton, daughter of the late John Sherman Greynolds Sr. and Agnes Pearl Bartholow Greynolds.
Susan was retired from Phillips Lighting and was an avid golfer. She attended church at Life United Methodist and was a member of the Eastern Stars. Susan was a loving devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She loved the closeness of her family. Her life was simple, but her love was great.
Susan is survived by two children, Gibbs Hoy Davidson of Moundsville and Kimberly Kaye Craddock and husband Arthur of Fairmont; a sister, Alice Sago of Fairmont; five grandchildren, Drew Mauck and wife Amanda, Trent Mauck and wife Erica, Katy Materkoski, Mark Craddock and wife Jessica, and Michael Craddock and wife Sarah; seven great-grandchildren, Lily Mauck, Logan Mauck, Shelby Mauck, Trevor Craddock, Oliver Craddock, Caleb Craddock and Cole Craddock; brother and sister-in-law, Merlin and Patty Davidson of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; and a loving companion, Ted Ryan of Barrackville.
In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Melvin "Whitey" Davidson; three sisters, Agnes Morris, Mary Lou Palmer and Betty Craig; and a brother, John Greynolds Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. today and from 9-11 a.m. Friday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. Fairmont. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Larry Buckland officiating. Interment will follow at Parrish Cemetery in Teverbaugh.
